Business Beyond Festival
The Black Power Station
The Black Power Station Session / The Black Power Station

The Business Beyond Festival, organised by The Black Power Station, serves as a vibrant platform for creative discussions that extend throughout the festival and beyond. For the past eleven years, we have been dedicated to nurturing the arts economy by uniting diverse perspectives to explore solutions and foster collaborative networking opportunities. We invite visitors from various fields within the creative industry and other business sectors, aiming to collaborate and establish new business ventures.

This initiative seeks to enhance a thriving artistic economy that benefits both the Eastern Cape and Makana. It forms part of our year-round incubator program for creatives. We believe that creativity thrives through dialogue and partnerships, which in turn leads to innovative ideas for collaboration and social entrepreneurship. These concepts can be propelled forward by equipping individuals with essential business skills.

We are committed to discovering solutions that broaden local, national, and international networks. By collaborating with creative companies and local businesses, we aim to connect artists, environmental advocates, and university communities. Our mission is to empower individuals to develop projects and products that create marketable goods for sustainable income.
