Cellist Natasha Otero was born in South Africa and raised in Argentina, studying at the Buenos Aires Conservatory of Music and at the University of Cape Town. She formed a partnership – personal and musical - with Swedish saxophonist Fredrik Kronkvist and they are based in Malmö, Sweden, from where they perform throughout Europe. Their shared music is encapsulated in their album Wired, which receives a South African make-over in Makhanda with a potent local rhythm section. You can expect unique, groove-based music blending modern jazz with global rhythms and grooves.
