Pariahs Of The Native Land
Ernras Youth Development Services
Theatre / City Hall

This is a musical theatrical production which consists of an ensemble of performing arts disciplines (drama, music and dance).

The play is based on historical events which drastically changed the cultural, historical, economic and social makeup of South African society at the beginning of 20th century, the impact of which continues to influence the South African way of life to date.

It highlights the ruthless and devastating oppressive measures implemented by the racist white supremacist, imperial union government in terms of the Native Land Act 27 of 1913.

The dispossession of land and deprivation of human rights (and many other dehumanising oppressive measures and abusive restrictions) reduced black of South Africans to slavery levels in the country of their birth.
