About the Artists

Vuyisa Sigonyela, known on stage as iCiko – The Creative One, is a South African creative storyteller, and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges raw personal reflection with lyrical creativity. With a poetic voice rooted in pose poetry, his narratives are crafted for the stage and screen-writing based on true stories, real-life inspiration, and an honest pursuit of meaning. His work often explores deep themes of philosophy, faith, hope & healing, introspection, and the human condition.

Asakhe Cuntsulana is a South African musician, composer, and multidisciplinary creative whose work bridges African indigenous sound, jazz, and classical music. Rooted in storytelling, heritage, and healing, his immersive sonic experiences explore reflection, wellness, and cultural dialogue. Founder of IThala leAfrika, his work spans performance, composition, education, and cultural curation, with a focus on indigenous knowledge and the living archive of African sound. Through acclaimed productions such as Ingoma yoHadi (Song of the Harp), performances at the National Arts Festival, and a 2024 tour of Norway, he continues to create intimate and transformative musical experiences for audiences locally and internationally.
