Don't miss Azi Sakwe and the Best in the World live in Makhanda.

Theme: “Mobembo” Indlela, the path.

Best In The World — Vuyo Vumisa on Xhosalised jazz guitar and street poetry, Sachin Sharma a percussionist from India and the UK who organises global events, and Mzwakhe Bones from Gugulethu on keys, a seasoned musician with a kasi flare — create boundary-blurring live music shows often collaborating with local poets, designers and musicians.

One night - Eastern Cape vocals and the next - Setswana trumpet or Japanese techno guitar. Their theme “Mobembo” means Indlela, the path. For National Arts Festival they are collaborating with Sanele Mswi and Sisonke Maqhashu.

Sanele Mswi is a poet and writer from the Eastern Cape, who blends jazz and spoken word, and Sisonke Maqhashu is a fashion designer, songstress, and player of uhadi from QueensTown. Her designs blend with the theme Indlela, turning every performance into a spectacular fashion and music experience.
