Based on a true story, DUNCAN VILLAGE MASSACRE occured in August 1985 in Duncan Village, during the aprtheid era in South Africa. Police opened fire on protesters in Duncan Village, resulting in 19 deaths and many injuries.

The event was part of a larger wave of violence and resistance against the apartheid regime.
