Liso the Musician plays a very distinctive form of African Music called Ancestral Jazz, which blends the styles of Umombelo, Umgqungqo, imilozi, and Afro Soul. Her music is a voice for issues faced in the Townships, but it is also universal as a signifier for the indomitable strength and power of the female spirit.
Her performance is a transition from her previous album (ZAF’INGANE) to a new one titled SIKHANYISELWE, named after her late daughter (Her Light). She is joined by artists to create the high spirited ISIBANE (THE LIGHT), a theatrical, story-driven and spiritual music performance.
This performance calls on individuals to fix their eyes on God in every situation they encounter in life, and is a tribute to all women who have lost their children in life. This is your divine moment, be ready to be spiritual uplifted and musically transformed.
