January 21,1960 explores the journey of young man from Lesotho who works at Sonder Water mine in Sasolburg, Zamdela Free State in the early 1970s. Searching for a better life, a man comes to South Africa. Instead, he is faced with misfortune and constant hallucinations of an old man he never saw before. The daily delusions leave the young man exhausted. He is left with no choice but to seek the help of those who came before us.

Are we the generation created by those who lived before us, or we are a generation with no custom, culture and tradition?

The story is told through gumboot dance, pantsula dance, movement, sound and images, and the lighting is used to intensify the ambience.
