SCARS of a WOMAN
Jullian Seleke Mokoto
SCARS of a WOMAN is a powerful play focused on gender based violence, revealing the silent struggles of women who endure pain while holding their family together. The play highlights life's relentless challenges, and the strength found in resilience, also reminding us that toughness is forged through experience.
The smile on an abused person's face doesn't mean that their life is perfect, it simply means that despite her challenges, she chose to focus on her blessings. The fact of the matter is 'what you think of me won't change who I am because you have no understanding of my scars, and even less of how I got them.'
The pain of GBV is clear in this well written play.
