At the beginning, the people of Amasiso celebrate Nomasiko for being a consummate guardian to them. When the people of the village request something that will have negative consequences, Nomasiko denies them, and the people cast her away. This creates a thick barrier between Nomasiko and her people. She embarks on a journey to find her people.

About the Artists
The cast and the director of uNomasiko Ugqize Intshola are Drama and Theatre Arts students at the University of the Free State. Their commitment to the arts and respect for tradition led to the creation of this production, as a tool to speak to people about traditional practices. Everyone involved in this production showed absolute creativity and passion.
