Eie-Nar is a theatre production by Nama Khoi Productions that interrogates the concept of ownership—of land, identity, memory, and narrative. The work asks a critical question: What does it mean to own something, and what remains when that right is taken away?
Rooted in the historical and contemporary experiences of the Nama Khoi community, the production reflects on systems that have determined who has the right to own, to belong, and to speak. Through a physical and poetic theatrical language, Eie-Nar examines dispossession, inheritance, and the fragile relationship between power and identity.
The performance invites audiences into a reflective space where questions of ownership extend beyond property, touching on culture, body, language, and history. In doing so, Eie-Nar becomes both an artistic inquiry and a call to reconsider how rights, belonging, and narratives are constructed and contested.
