Many Women's Tales highlights the impact of gender-based violence and femicide in our communities, and how it often leaves survivors with long-term psychological trauma. Healing and support are key to creating safe spaces where survivors can recover and feel safe again.
While some perpetrators feel they too are affected by GBVF, the truth is GBVF affects all of us as society. Many people stay silent out of fear, shame, or because violence has become normalised, and that silence keeps the cycle going. When emotions aren't managed, reactions to violence can sometimes escalate and lead to even greater harm.
This story creates awareness and encourages people to walk away before things escalate and affect their mental health. Men and boys are involved in the conversation, promoting positive behavior and accountability.
Many Women's Tales stands for reducing GBVF, and calls on each of us to play a role in building a fairer, safer and more equitable society.
