KWANELE
Original Krafters
Theatre / Centenary Hall

Kwanele explores the ancestral lineage and the vulnerability of growing up as a man within those traditional norms. The production reflects on the patriarchal belief systems, the value of a man being a provider, and a woman being submissive, while controlling the freedom of her own space. It further looks at the complexities of accountability, and encourages breaking generational curses of abuse by men, highlighting the responsibility and corruption of the police.
