About the Artists
Nontokozo Mkhize is a South African Afro-soul and gospel singer and songwriter from Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal. Beginning her career as a backing vocalist in 2017, she transitioned to a solo artist with her debut single Lu Strong in 2023 and quickly rose to prominence. Her breakthrough track Esandleni topped Spotify charts, breaking records for female solo artists in South Africa. She’s celebrated for soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and blending gospel with contemporary styles. Mkhize has won multiple awards, including Best Newcomer at the Metro FM Music Awards, and maintains an active presence in music and performance.
Nomfundo Moh is a dynamic South African Afro-pop vocalist and songwriter whose voice and storytelling have rapidly gained commercial and critical acclaim. Born in Ndwendwe, KwaZulu-Natal in July 2000, she signed with Universal Music South Africa and released her debut album Amagama in January 2022, which included the multi-platinum single “Phakade Lami”. Her style blends contemporary R&B, pop and African traditional elements, delivering emotional hooks in both Zulu and English. Her 2023 follow-up album Ugcobo reaffirmed her rising star status, with streams exceeding one-million in under a week. She remains one of South Africa’s most promising young female voices in Afro-pop.
