The ALTBLK>>Africa Collective is a Pan-African ensemble of artists whose work celebrates and creatively weaves together diverse cultural influences and sonic traditions. Formed through ALTBLK>>Continua’s mission to support independent artists and cultural workers, the collective extends the ethos that “just because you’re independent, doesn’t mean you have to be alone” beyond the borders of South Africa.

Bringing together artists from South Africa, Lesotho, Kenya, Sudan and beyond, the collective creates a rich meeting point of folk, neo-jazz, soul, indigenous sound, and contemporary African storytelling. Rooted in collaboration, care, and creative autonomy, ALTBLK>>Africa continues to build bridges across the continent by creating spaces where artists can connect, exchange, and imagine new futures together through independent artistry.
