Wamkelwa Namanyange - IMimoya
The Black Power Station
The Black Power Station Session / The Black Power Station

IMimoya is a living soundscape where ancient melodies and raw indigenous tones meet to trace the shared heartbeat of humanity. It carries you beyond time back to our origins, through our present, and into the becoming of who we can be together.

Rooted in the spirit of Ubuntu, the performance awakens our common humanity, honouring the truth that it takes a village to raise a child. Through voice, drum, uhadi, and other indigenous instruments, IMimoya becomes a rite of remembrance and renewal, a call to unity, peace, love, and the dignity of all people, sparking a quiet revolution in the soul.
