How do we move from simply presenting social ills to actively processing structural trauma on stage? This panel brings together distinct global and local voices to interrogate theatre’s role as a vital sociological tool. Featuring Ondřej Hrab’s community-driven, social-specific work, Monageng 'Vice' Motshabi’s deep dive into post-apartheid realities, and Jefferson Tshabalala’s satirical deconstruction of class and language, the conversation will examine how altering the very form of performance changes who is included in a nation's narrative.
