Refugees
Wushwini Pan African Centre
Theatre / Masonic Front

This show is about people, trapped in a refugee camp, reduced to statistics. The audience is taken on a journey that reflects on human personal stories, expressing pain, sadness, soul searching, and hope, as well as questioning and exploring the power of religion and spirituality. As the tale unfolds, it questions how is freedom defined, and the reality of being a refugee. It explores the reality of being away from one's home country, and references the Rwandan genocide and other African countries. The story is told through movement, song, images, and narration.
