About the Artists
Nicole Joka, owner and dance teacher of the Prestige School of Dance, started her dance journey at the tender age of 5 years old and has spent the last 20 years of her career training extensively in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Hip-hop and Spanish Dance. She has completed major examinations in all her dance styles and is a qualified dance teacher, affiliated with the South African Body of Dance. Alongside her teaching, Nicole is a choreographer and performer.
Prestige School of Dance, located in Makhanda in the Eastern Cape, is a dynamic multi-genre dance studio catering to dancers of all ages and abilities. Offering recreation, performance, and examination-based training, the studio provides a nurturing environment for dancers starting as young as 3 years old. With a diverse range of dance styles on offer and a commitment to excellence, Prestige School of Dance fosters a passion for dance while developing technical proficiency and artistic expression for its students.
