The Systematic Scaffolds
University of Zululand Creative Arts Department Alumni
Theatre / Rehearsal Room

The production confronts the systematic scaffolds society is faced with in modern-day South Africa, with the rise of corruption and misuse of power. The raggedy system controls and lynches the masses. Expressed in movement and dance, the play follows the life of a young student through his past, present and future, reflecting on events in South African politics from distant past to the near future. It is an anthem of doomed youth, a cry for a for a better tomorrow, while the dirty hold on to absolute power and limit people’s freedom.
