This production focuses on the fictional story of a young couple in Somalia who met and fell in love during the war. Their son was brutally attacked and killed by rebels in a Bu'aale close to the Jabba River over clan disputes. Their once lovely, happy, and respectful relationship soured to rage, violence, fighting and hatred.
There is ongoing civil war and violence in the region of the farming communities. The husband, Abdiraxman, is plagued by wartime memories and visions. Upon returning from the war with injuries, he became cold and aggressive towards his spouse Jamilah. Abdiraxman returned to participate in the war created problems.
The situation is worsened by second pregnancy. Jamilah is optimistic that her husband will overcome his traumas. For Jamilah, the level of anger and alcohol consumption becomes intolerable. Jamilah experiences several psychological and emotional challenges in her quest to save her family. Jamilah attempts to save their marriage from dissolution seems to be in vain. Will Jamilah be able to endure the marriage.
Aim of the story
The story seeks to show how the external conditions of the world/society can have a direct and indirect impact to the private lives of ordinary individuals through drama, music, poetry and dance.

About the Artists
Group bibliography:
The group is composed of students of Walter Sisulu University Butterworth Campus from different rural areas of the Eastern Cape and other provinces.
The show is directed by Mr Nkosikhona Mlozini who is also a writer of the production. Music composer and director.
In 2019 and 2024 the group collaborated with Gender Sonke Justice in the campaign Gender Based Violence Against Women and Children and Women Leadership.
The group was the Standard Bank Ovation Winners in National Arts Festival with Mamlambo i 2022.
The group performed in the 2nd Higher Education Performing Art Festival (HEIPAFEST) held at the South African State Theatre in 2023, and won third best show and best costume and best supporting actor.
They have performed at the National Arts Festival since 2016.
