SHINE ON

CAN OF WORMS SA has been performing at events around the country since 2015. Their latest production for the National Arts Festival is all about celebrating the music! SHINE ON features all original songs which the band write and arrange themselves, presented in a down-to-earth and authentic live performance.

The group consists of six dedicated musicians, with a wealth of experience between them. Each brings a unique dynamic to the sound and the creative process.

Following the success of “Out of the Can” in 2021 and “On the Flip Side” in 2023, both recognised with Standard Bank Ovation Awards, the band continues to entertain festival goers with their feisty energy on stage, and their own brand of original music. The refreshing sound is a fusion of various genres including World Music, Afro-fusion, Pop and Folk Rock. Think 'Zap Mama', 'Freshly Ground', and 'The Waterboys'.

Performances are suitable for the whole family and include interactive elements – you will be invited to sing along, dance, and lose yourself in the music. You will soon learn to recognise the catchy musical style that is 'Can of Worms SA'.
