About the Artists

Mava Gqeba (26) is a Creative Arts Practioner based between Cape Town and East London who holds a BMus Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance from the University Of Fort Hare in East London. He is also a faculty memeber of the Sonwa Sakuba Institute for the Performing Arts where he teaches music theory and history.

Mava has been a part of two Standard Bank Ovation Award winning productions including, Afrika Sings! and "Dear Tata... What Makes a Man a Man?", the latter of which he wrote and performed himself.
