The Shack
Film

THE SHACK tells the story of Buti, and his daily struggles in the immediate and greater environment in which he lives, with an especial focus on the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic.

In this densely populated South African informal settlement the daily hardships Buti encounters range from scarce income and few employment opportunities to limited access to water and sanitation to the lack of enough food.

Buti works daily, but has no income to show for that work. When the pandemic hits, he is forced to enrol for food parcels to survive.
