About the Artists

WIZDOM

Once upon a time, during the year 1988, an aspiring legend was born on the dusty streets of a small town called Burgersdorp in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, and he was named Ntandazo Wisdom Tungata. His Art of Rap began in Port Elizabeth where he grew up, when he got introduced to Hip Hop music. He wrote his first lyrics in 2003. In 2005 he joined a Hip Hop movement called Smaq Lawnj Kamp where he started performing in public, showcasing his talent in Emceeing (Rapping) to the masses of P.E. He earned respect with freestyles and battles, collaborating with groups like 3rd Word, Antiseptics and Open Soul within the Smaq Lawnj Kamp 2006.

Wizdom continued his career in music by working with different artists and producers all around Nelson Mandela Bay during 2008 and then started working in a solo capacity in 2009. In 2010 he worked with a crew called Fiction Of Sound as he evolved to dungeon hip hop and poetry. Smaq Lawnj Kamp merged with Lion Heads Entertainment to become one hip-hop family. In 2011 he started Untamed Empire and went solo after the fact. His signature genre is Hip-Hop and Soul but he is versatile enough to jump into any type of music thrown in his direction. He is always on point and on his toes. He is now a producer, composer, vocalist, video-graphic editor/director and a poet. He has just released a new album titled “Black Magic” (14th of February 2024). The album is available on all online stores including Apple music and Spotify.
