Ghana Jazz Collective
Acclaimed Ghanaian Afro-Jazz Fusion band, The Ghjazz Collective, has garnered a dedicated following with their adventurous, genre-blending music, redefining and pushing artistic boundaries. They blend traditional Ghanaian melodies and rhythms with contemporary jazz elements and they have captivated audiences with their innovative blend of jazz, highlife and elements of indigenous Ghanaian folk music. The energetic Victor Dey Jr. – who performed in Makhanda in 2018 - leads the collective on piano, synths and keyboards, with saxophonist Bernard Gama Ayisa returning to us for the first time since 1999.
