Cape Town’s ‘Ploemies’ are joined by fellow Western Capers Ramon Alexander and Muneeb Hermans as they get audiences jiving to finish this year’s festival. The Ploemies make a habit of playing a proudly South African repertoire, but more specifically one that deserves greater exposure beyond what is often heard, including music from Charles Louw, Nic le Roux and Dave Ledbetter. The group plays mostly original works while pushing some reworked Cape Jazz Classics into the groove realm, so get ready for a blatantly funky repertoire and some serious groove with a Cape Jazz Jol!
(Note that there will be seats available but that a portion of the hall will be standing/dancing room.)
