


The Pop-up Bookshop is an Amazwi initiative running for the duration of the festival. It aims to cater for local writers and publishers, as well as those attending LitFest. It is also a platform where writers will possibly meet authors.
Authors that are featured are:
Sindiwe Magona, a South African Living Legend and a stalwart author of children's books, fiction and poetry.
Plus, the Amazwi Creatives:
Crystal Warren – Children’s books and poetry.
Sithembele Xhegwana – poetry
Marike Beyers – poetry.
Zongezile Matshoba, epic, dramatic poetry and very short stories.
Local Writers are welcomed to put up their own stands and sell their own books.
The Pop-up Bookshop accepts cash only.
It will run from 20 June to 30 June 2024.
Amazwi opens for visitors from 09h00 - 17h00.

Daily entry to the exhibitions is free. The scheduled walkabouts have a minimal cost and booking is essential.
