The Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) proudly presents the third annual Eastern Cape Film Expo, scheduled to take place from 26-28 June 2024 during the National Arts Festival in Makhanda (formerly known as Grahamstown). This event aims to strengthen the Eastern Cape’s value proposition as a premier film and television destination.

The Film Expo offers a platform for industry experts to share sector insights and attract both local and international film production companies to locate their projects in our province. Additionally, the event provides a great platform for filmmakers and industry professionals to meet, exchange ideas and forge strategic partnerships.

The three-day event is structured as follows:
Exclusive Industry Engagement and Networking Sessions with Industry Experts: Engage with leading professionals and gain insights into the film and television industry.
Masterclasses: Participate in masterclasses designed to provide attendees with insight and skills development opportunities in various aspects of filmmaking.
Screenings: Enjoy screenings of both local and international films, showcasing creativity and cultural diversity.
Community Outreach: Involve local communities in the film industry through outreach programs and initiatives.

Entrance is free and no booking is necessary.
