Cursed tells the story highlighting the terrible consequences of family secrets.
When the Mkhumbane parents fight and separate, they split what they have, including their twins Cebisa (boy) and Nongcebo (girl). At just 8 months old, Cebisa leaves with his father and Nongcebo goes with her mother. They grew apart, lived different lives, and adopted different styles up until they met up in varsity.
Not realising they are related, they start a relationship and have children themselves.
We will be introduced to challenges and different ways to resolve challenges but the question is, will these challenges be solved since they were CURSED at the beginning?

About the Artists
Thamisanqa Khumalo (director/ producer) has directed seven shows named ijazi, careful, between brothers, umuzi kababa, Oxamu, Bucket List and Cursed. He has also stage managed four shows, voice of emma directed by Noxolo Mbotho, wathinta Abafazi directed by Zepha Nzama, Itshe and ZemQadini both directed by Philisiwe Twinjstra. He was named best stage manager at the Department of Drama and Production Studies at Durban University of Technology (2021).
Asanda Mhlungu (actor) is a DUT who was nominated for the prestigious Debbie Lutge award in 2022. Asanda has been cast in plays like The Weekend Special, Liyazongoma, Jomo no Cosmo, Umkhovu kaBaba, uMgolo, Itshe and Intuthu and has also been blessed by being cast in short films like "Grandma's spoon, urban Hostela and The colorful.
Mandisa Mnguni (actress) is an actress who specialises in dancing and singing. In 2022 she won an award for best female performer and was previously involved in the Outreach Foundation at Hillbrow Theatre where she performed a few times and won the best supporting actress award. She has been in shows like Romeo and Juilet , out of bounds, the three little pigs, weeman, Nomvula, Abaminza and Ingcongolo the musical.
Nonhlanhla Ntuli (stage manager ) specialises in singing at DUT.Nonhlanhla was working with “The kingdom of Enyangeni” in 2023 and being nominated in The three little pigs in DUT.Nonhlanhla has been cast in plays like Liyazongoma, impi yabomdabu, My children My Africa and also Abaminza.
