Born in Attridgeville, Pretoria 1991, but raised in Soweto. The first art performance I was introduced to was 'traditional dance' in primary school which awakened my interest in other genres as well. In 2004 I started performing in government related events via School Programmes arranged by my high school teacher. Tap dancing was my second art form unveiled as one of the gifts I have. It was from that point when talent escalated to a career.

My first theatrical performance was in Polokwane where I was part of the legendary "AmaTaps", a show that's predominantly tap dancing.

Image
The Tapcussionist Triad NPC, founded in 2022 by three artists specializing in African drumming, bass guitar, and tape dance to change the way people view classical tap dance by fusing it with elements of African voices and Indigenous music. This innovative approach to tap dance was intended to highlight the beauty and versatility of the art form. "Rhythmic Fusion" is a captivating and innovative live performance that melds the ancient beats of African drumming, the deep resonance of the bass guitar, and the mesmerizing art of Tape Dance into a unique and immersive audiovisual journey. This multi-sensory experience brings together the power of rhythm, the depth of melody, and the visual storytelling of dance, offering a transcendent exploration of human connection and creativity. Imagine the primal rhythms of African drumming setting the foundation, pulsating through the audience's veins and invoking a sense of unity. The bass guitar, with its electrifying presence, complements the percussive rhythms, adding depth and emotion to the sonic landscape. Simultaneously, the Tape Dance artist takes center stage, gracefully and dynamically moving on a stage adorned with strips of tape, creating stunning visuals that mirror and enhance the music. The performance unfolds like a conversation among the three elements, building in intensity and complexity, creating a sensory tapestry that takes the audience on a journey of emotions and self-discovery. "Rhythmic Fusion" is not just a performance; it's an experience that transcends cultural boundaries, connecting people through the universal language of rhythm, melody, and movement. Audiences will leave "Rhythmic Fusion" with a renewed appreciation for the power of music and dance to convey the profound and the sublime. This unique concept celebrates the rich tapestry of human expression and the beauty of collaboration, inviting all to be part of a transformative and unforgettable experience. The ensemble feature the most talented musicians to complete all the melodies.
