LISAKHANYA ARTS THEATRE
Theatre / Centenary Hall

Ndiyintombi nto!!! Ndiyintombi nto!!! is a story about two young girls who are the same age. Born to sisters, they are from a village called Nqadu, in the Eastern Cape. They are brought up by their maternal grandmother, who is a pensioner.

The family is very poor, so poor that both mothers leave to find a better life. They end up in different provinces, one in Gauteng and the other in the Eastern Cape in East London.

After finishing primary school, both girls move to East London, where they are faced with difficulties and challenges. The story reveals the highs and the lows of their teenage lives, looking at the different paths the two girls take.

One ends up going back to the village, pregnant and hopeless, while the other gets a scholarship, and heads to Gauteng to pursue her dream of dancing.

This coming of age story is heart-penetrating, and contains life lessons.
