On March 5th, 2008, comedian Chantal Harris drove into rehab with a Bloody Mary in hand - double shot, maybe triple. Who’s counting?
Sixteen years later, she's coming clean - on stage.
In this gutsy and hilarious solo show, ADHD, the Bottle and Me, Harris cracks open the entangled mess of alcohol addiction, impulsivity, and a late ADHD diagnosis. With an irreverent sense of humour and a surprisingly hopeful heart, she shares the detours, disasters, and dazzling chaos of her recovery journey.

With direction from multi-award-winning actor, playwright, comedian, and director Sophie Joans, whose love for the absurd and her vast experience both on and off the stage adds extra layers of comedy to this deeply personal story.

Chantal Harris is a zestful late bloomer who’s rewriting her story - one punchline at a time. At 55, with a lifetime of experience in dodging permanent employment and embracing life’s glorious inconsistencies, she’s leapt headfirst into stand-up comedy.
A self-declared oldest newcomer on the South African comedy circuit, Chantal brings menopausal wisdom, irreverent insight, and the bold honesty that only comes from not giving a damn anymore.

Sophie Joans is an award-winning theatre-maker and comedian from Cape Town, with Mauritian roots. She studied Theatre and Performance at two of the top drama schools in South Africa, and completed courses in Clowning at RADA (UK) and Stand-Up Comedy at The Comedy Cellar (NYC).
