Play Things
Spark in the Dark
Theatre / Gymnasium

Play Things is South Africa’s hottest experimental performance space—where bold ideas are born and brave artists take the stage. Held monthly at Theatre Arts in Cape Town and regularly popping up at venues like The Masque Theatre, The Drama Factory, and the National Arts Festival, Play Things is where new voices and big names test fresh material in front of a live audience.

Past performers include rising stars and established names, with the likes of Lauren Beukes and Yaaseen Barnes having graced our lineups. The result is an electric, one-of-a-kind evening where anything can happen—and often does.
