The Ingoma Music Conference and Exhibition (IMCE) is a two-day gathering of South African musical policy and development minds. The gathering seeks to take a pause from performances and focus on the music value chain, identifying choke points and stumbling blocks to both development and sustainability of the industry in order to chisel strategies to remedy such.

The National Arts Festival provides a perfect setting for such a gathering as it immediately exposes those in attendance to the feast of artistic offering.

MBTC and ECDSRAC intend to build and grow IMCE to become the grand gathering of musical development minds in the Eastern Cape and beyond. Participation at IMCE is by invitation, with a commitment to ensuring representation from all eight districts of the Eastern Cape. Interested individuals are also welcome to attend, however booking is essential.
