The Children's Corner is where stories sparkle, laughter rings out, and young imaginations are set free! Curated for joy, discovery, and a love of reading, each session offers something special from lively storytelling to music, games, and creative learning. Join us for three distinct experiences across various times of the day.

Step into the vibrant WANDAverse! Award-winning author Sihle-isipho Nontshokweni-Bikitsha leads an immersive reading session based on her beloved character Wanda. Wanda World Way sessions include powerful tools for empowering young minds. Through the journey of Wanda, a young girl learning to love her natural hair and embrace her unique identity, children are encouraged to celebrate who they are, just as they are. These stories promote self-confidence, resilience, and cultural pride, all wrapped in engaging, age-appropriate storytelling.

For children navigating a world full of messages about fitting in, Wanda stands out as a beacon of authenticity and joy. Her story validates the lived experiences of many while opening a window for others to understand and empathise. The Wanda World Way fosters curiosity, emotional intelligence, and self-expression—qualities essential for thriving in both school and life.

Bringing your child to this reading experience is more than attending a story time session—it is investing in their emotional and cultural growth. Led by Sihle-isipho, this immersive experience allows children to hear stories from a voice that understands them, represents them, and uplifts them. Through heartfelt storytelling, she celebrates identity, self-confidence, and joy. This session invites young readers on an inspiring journey that encourages them to dream boldly and read deeply.

Parents will witness their children not just listening, but engaging—asking questions, seeing themselves reflected in a positive light, and discovering the joy of reading. These sessions also include music, games, and creative learning, making it a rich, multi-sensory experience that children will carry with them long after the event ends.

By attending, parents show their support for inclusive storytelling and the importance of diverse voices in literature—while also sparking a lifelong love of books in their children.
