


This production is based on the life of the Thembu Woman Regent who ruled from 1848 for an unknown period of time.
The Cape Colonial government put her in charge, but they underestimated her - when they wanted to replace her, she refused to give up her position. She was the wife of the Thembu King Ngubengcuka (Vusani) ka Ndaba.

Director: Nondumiso Zweni is an award winner in performance, theatre and television actor, producer and director. She also drives development initiatives from Mthatha Community Arts Centre. She directs the production and plays lead - NONESI
Chwayita Lamati plays NOTASI. She is the pride of Khayiso Social Enterprise training initiatives at Mthatha Community Arts Centre which has developed many actors.
Philile Rwaxa plays Warner, the British resident for Colonial Government among the Thembu people. Philie is a seasoned actor for theatre and television with vast experience in theatre.
