The Black Power Station | Zizipho Bam presents Sunflowers For My Lovers
The Black Power Station
Poetry & Spoken Word / The Black Power Station

Sunflowers. Bags. Splinters. The body. The bed. Old memories and spaces. The poems of Zizipho Bam deal with tactile things and physical objects that connect to self and the self’s multiplicity of selves.

In this performance, Zizipho as the poet and the visual storyteller, convenes to create a world where poetry and sound can forge a path for healing. She takes us on a journey through the collection and offers sunflowers as poems to all the versions of ourselves at each intersection of re-membering.
